The award-winning ‘The Brighton’ is Catholic HealthCare’s premium retirement village, designed to foster independence, connection and wellbeing for seniors in Sydney’s Inner West. Situated in a dense residential area and adjacent to an existing aged care home, the development balances architectural quality with community sensitivity, creating a welcoming “village” environment that promotes social interaction.

Early works included site remediation strategies where our team could excavate and reuse clean spoil on site, reducing waste and costs. A modular structural core system allowed efficient pour cycles, shortening the program and minimising disruption to neighbours. Prototype and display units were delivered early to resolve design details and support presales.

Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Leo Campbell, The Brighton features innovative solutions that combine functionality with aesthetics. Integrated DINCEL cores rationalised services risers, freeing lobby space, while balcony soffit grills for kitchen and bathroom exhausts provide a clean architectural outcome. Wet areas were designed for flexibility, allowing future conversion to accessible, compliant spaces to meet evolving resident needs.
