At Grindley, we don’t just build structures – we create spaces that strengthen communities, support local economies and promote environmental responsibility. Every project is built to deliver lasting value, so people can continue living, learning and working.
Our approach is guided by a simple belief: construction should leave a positive legacy. Whether we’re partnering with local charities, supporting the next generation of industry professionals or embedding sustainable practices on site, we aim to deliver outcomes that extend well beyond the building brief. To bring this commitment to life, we focus on three core pillars that shape our decisions, our partnerships and the impact we create.
Strengthening communities through meaningful partnerships with charities, government entities and not-for-profit organisations.

Creating pathways for people to grow through cadetships, apprenticeships and professional development.
Building with integrity and care for the future through sustainable, and ethical and accountable practices.
We are proud to partner with a diverse range of Clients, Charities, Local Councils and Government Bodies to create meaningful and measurable social impact.
From supporting MS Australia and donating blood, to working alongside The Salvation Army, the Property Industry Foundation and other community groups, our contributions reflect our commitment to the regions where we work and the values of our Clients. Together, we strive to deliver positive outcomes that reach well beyond the built environment.

For nearly four-decades we’ve been partnering with many of New South Wales’ leading not‑for‑profit organisations.
Across health, community services, disability support, aged care and faith‑based groups, we work alongside Clients whose values and missions shape stronger, more inclusive communities. By understanding what drives their work and the people they serve, we’re able to contribute to environments that enhance dignity, connection and quality of life. These long‑standing partnerships reflect our commitment to supporting organisations beyond the building brief.
Our people are our greatest asset.
We provide cadetships, apprenticeships and tailored professional development programs to ensure our team has the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive. We promote diversity and inclusion, fostering a workplace culture where every individual feels valued, respected and empowered to grow.

1 of our 5 values is Integrity – This means we say what is true and we honour our commitments. We act with courtesy and accountability to people and places.
This value is reflected in our 80+ industry awards. We maintain active affiliations with leading organisations including the Green Building Council of Australia, Property Industry Foundation, Master Builders Association and the Property Council of Australia. This ensures our practices meet the highest standards. Transparent reporting and adherence to best-practice frameworks guide every project we deliver.

At Grindley, creating opportunity means opening doors for people at every stage of their careers. For more than five years, we’ve strengthened this commitment through a dedicated part‑time office support role within our Pymble head office, designed to provide stable and meaningful employment through our partnership with Jobsupport.
Jobsupport provide high quality solutions for employers and support for job seekers with an intellectual disability. They continue to provide specialist guidance, on-going support and training. Together, we’ve built a role that adds real value to our business while fostering inclusion, confidence and long‑term growth. This partnership reflects our belief that opportunity should be accessible to everyone and that workplaces thrive when people of all abilities are supported to succeed.
We create and extend opportunities for Indigenous people and enterprises and are a proud member of Supply Nation, the leaders in supplier diversity.
Supply Nation facilitate connections and create opportunities to bring together the largest national database of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses with the procurement teams of leading Australian organisations.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and the Darramurragal people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and community and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

We recognise that sustainability is a priority for our Clients and the communities they serve. From giving materials a new life and reducing waste to achieving Green Star ratings. We work with the Client to support and deliver their sustainability goals.
All Grindley projects come with robust environmental management, effective waste reduction, and proactive impact-mitigation measures that protect local ecosystems and minimise emissions. We ensure all our Clients sustainable principles are embedded into our construction approach, ensuring each building contributes positively to both their goals and the environment.

Blackbutt and tallowwood battens reclaimed from Waverley Council’s old Waterloo Works Depot were used to clad the amenities and pump house, blending the buildings with their coastal surroundings.

Recycled hardwood posts from Waverley Council’s former Zetland Works Depot were repurposed to create a durable and sustainable external finish.
Social value is the positive impact a project or organisation has on the wellbeing of people, communities, and the environment. In the built environment, it’s about more than just construction, it includes designing spaces that improve quality of life, creating employment and training opportunities and supporting local economies.
By prioritising social value, projects can deliver more than just functional buildings, they can enhance lives, support local businesses and create sustainable, inclusive communities for the long term.
We partner with charities and not-for-profit organisations, deliver essential social infrastructure, and invest in our people through cadetships, apprenticeships and professional development. By fostering diversity, inclusion and sustainable practices, we ensure our projects create lasting benefits for our Clients, communities, government entities and the environment. We focus on three core pillars that shape our decisions, our partnerships and the impact we create:
Community, Opportunity, Responsibility.
