Penshurst Public School

Grindley were engaged under a Design and Construct contract to undertake the demolition of existing structures and the construction of a new 1012 student primary school.

Works involved demolition and removal of all existing buildings and structures on site, including heritage structures and demountable buildings, the removal of approximately 25 trees and significant bulk excavation and piling to accommodate the new buildings.

The new structure consists of a three storey curved building, comprising 47 new flexible learning spaces with the entire top level designed as a rooftop playground.

Additional project works included a new communal hall, library, canteen, COLA, hard and soft landscaping and a new carpark.
