The Downing Centre, Level 2

Grindley Interiors were engaged by NSW Government - Department of Justice to complete a major upgrade within the Downing Centre involving the fitout and refurbishment of level 2, including new court rooms, amenities, breakout spaces and the construction of new holding cells.

Having successfully delivered several other projects within the landmark heritage site, NSW Government - Department of Justice selected Grindley under a competitive tender to deliver the project.

As the building was fully operational during construction, Grindley had to coordinate all works with a high level of security present on site, and also be mindful of noisy, dusty and odorous works, ensuring that adequate hoardings were installed and maintained in accordance with the Client’s requirements.
