The car park and access upgrade at Wyong Creek Public School strengthens the daily experience of a community that prides itself on care, connection and belonging. As a “small school with a big heart,” the improvements create safer movement for students and families, clearer pedestrian routes and more accessible outdoor spaces that support learning and wellbeing.
Working within a live school environment required careful staging to maintain safe access during drop‑off, pick‑up and class times. The team managed variable ground conditions during excavation, inclement weather, COVID‑related workforce impacts and additional works, all while staying on time and on budget.

The project delivered a new on‑grade car park with piles, retaining walls and upgraded drainage, along with modifications to the existing asphalt car park including concrete islands, bollards and a revised layout. New access routes were formed through concrete ramps and stairs, fiberglass reinforced plastic grating walkways, balustrades and landscaping. Further upgrades included replacing an ageing brick‑paver recreation area and constructing new stairs and a pathway to the administration building.
The completed work provides a safer, accessible and more welcoming campus that support’s the school’s vision that every child is valued and cared for.
