The new Wiley Park Metro Services Building forms an essential part of the Southwest Metro Stations program, supporting the upgrade of the Southwest line to meet modern Metro performance and safety standards. Located alongside the existing station and rail corridor, the new facility strengthens the operational network, helping deliver more dependable, high‑capacity services for local passengers.
Construction took place in a tightly constrained live rail setting, requiring disciplined planning and close collaboration with rail authorities. Working beside active tracks demanded controlled access, carefully sequenced works, and constant coordination to ensure new services were integrated without affecting daily rail operations. Maintaining a safe, compliant environment remained a priority throughout delivery.
The building houses the critical systems required to operate Metro services, including electrical infrastructure, mechanical plant, and key service routes that support the upgraded line. Its design focuses on resilience and operational clarity, using durable materials, secure plant areas, and clearly defined interfaces to support long‑term performance and ease of maintenance.
The complete scope of works included construction of the dedicated services building, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems, connection to existing rail assets, and external works such as fencing, pathways, and secure plant zones.
