The Ponds Community Hub was created by transforming the former Landcom sales showroom into a vibrant community facility for the growing residential precinct of The Ponds. Located next to The Ponds Shopping Centre and Community Playground, the hub provides versatile spaces for lifelong learning, social engagement, cultural activities, and community programs.

Works involved a careful combination of extension and refurbishment. Portions of the existing building and car park were demolished, internal linings and flooring were removed, and services were reconfigured to integrate new facilities within the existing structure. The project also delivered a new main hall, commercial kitchen, amenities, garden sheds, courtyard areas and a new car park.

Structural works required particular attention due to the site being built over a pond and water catchment. New building areas were constructed on a concrete slab on ground with a structural steel portal frame, designed to manage soil conditions and ensure long‑term stability. External cladding included compressed fibre cement (CFC), stained timber panelling, Vitrapanel and CFC Primeline. Internally, layouts were redesigned using lightweight metal framing and plasterboard linings, with tiling installed in commercial kitchens and bathrooms. Externally, a new asphalt car park and courtyard areas were completed in concrete, masonry paving and tiling.
