Modernising Sydney Airport’s checked‑baggage operations began with a complex package of works deep within the airport’s secure baggage‑handling area. Working in a secure, operational environment beneath the international terminal, the team completed structural modifications, conveyor integration works, and service diversions to accommodate new screening and transfer equipment.

The project required close coordination with airport operations, with works staged around live baggage movements and aircraft activity. The project scope included refurbishment of sub‑floor conveyor halls, installation support for new mechanical systems, and civil works next to the live runway to reroute power and communications services feeding the baggage hall below.
