The O Pavilion was developed as a new landmark for the Optus brand, designed to harmonise people, landscape, work, and technology while redefining the future of collaborative spaces.
This digitally enriched hub reflects Optus’ vision for innovation, sustainability, and connection.
The design blended advanced architectural elements with environmentally responsible practices. Bespoke floor-to-ceiling glass panels provided expansive views and abundant natural light, while Australian-sourced engineered glulam timber beams showcased both structural strength and local craftsmanship. A distinctive curved freeform roof profile enhanced environmental performance, supported by a gutterless design and integrated bioswale stormwater system to minimise runoff. A Stormbrix stormwater retention tank further contributed to water conservation, embedding sustainability into the project’s foundations.

An elevated walkway improved accessibility and connection throughout the pavilion, encouraging movement, collaboration, and interaction. Internally, the architecture balanced precision and innovation to create a contemporary space that celebrates both technology and people.
The complex geometry of the roof demanded a highly customised approach. Roof sheeting was manufactured and installed on site, with minimal tolerances to ensure exact alignment with prefabricated components. This level of precision required extensive surveying to achieve slab profile accuracy and intensive collaboration across the design and construction teams. Through open communication and technical expertise, these challenges were successfully navigated.
Completed to the highest standard, the O Pavilion stands as a benchmark in innovative, sustainable construction and was recognised with the 2025 Master Builders Association Excellence in Construction Award.
