At the heart of Macquarie Park, the award-winning Ministry and Learning Precinct at Morling College stands as a contemporary, multi‑purpose facility that strengthens the wider campus and supports a diverse mix of users. Designed to bring people together in a flexible, high‑quality environment, the building blends modern work, meeting and community spaces with a strong connection to landscape and place.

Delivered within a live operational precinct environment, the team carefully coordinated all construction activities to maintain operations and ensure the safety of staff, students and visitors. Working adjacent to a riparian zone and flood-prone area required innovative water management solutions, including temporary swales, adaptive drainage, and continuous weather monitoring. Through close collaboration between the Client, design partners, and construction team, the project was completed 6 weeks ahead of schedule.

The five-storey building, designed by Stanton Dahl Architects and DEM Architects, is a bold yet refined addition, brought to life through meticulous construction and attention to detail. Its striking façade features expertly installed metal cladding and precisely aligned jewel-box windows that draw the eye toward the main entry and hint at the crafted interior spaces within.

Inside, the central stair and open terraces are seamlessly integrated, creating strong connections to the surrounding landscape. High-end finishes and geometric timber detailing were carefully coordinated, site-measured, and prefabricated to ensure precision and quality, requiring close communication between multiple trades. A durable metal deck roof was installed in place of a traditional membrane to reduce maintenance, while solar panels were also installed to help offset the building’s energy consumption.
