Located in the heart of Pyrmont, 19 Harris Street was repurposed to deliver a contemporary workplace environment that enhances tenant wellbeing, connectivity and productivity. The refurbishment transformed the existing office building into a modern destination workplace, providing high-quality amenities, flexible workspaces and improved sustainability outcomes for its diverse tenant community. Positioned within one of Sydney’s fastest-growing commercial precincts, the project supports the ongoing evolution of Pyrmont as a thriving business and innovation hub.
Delivering the refurbishment within a fully operational commercial building required careful planning and coordination. The team worked closely with the Client and building stakeholders to minimise disruption to occupants while maintaining programme certainty. Fast-tracked delivery, logistical planning and staged works enabled the project to be successfully completed within a condensed three-week timeframe, ensuring business continuity for the other 12 tenants throughout the construction period.
The project introduced a tailored workplace design aligned with the Client’s brand and operational requirements. Works included new linear workstations, upgraded power and data services, glazed and solid partitions, wall panelling, carpet finishes and modernised floor treatments. A strong focus on sustainability was incorporated through the repurposing of existing furniture and joinery, reducing waste while delivering programme and cost efficiencies.
The project involved the complete fitout of an existing office tenancy, including the delivery of 19 offices and associated workplace facilities. Value-add services were also provided which included space planning and design and cost management services throughout the project. The final outcome aligned with the Client’s vision, budget and programme requirements.
