Harrington Park Public School’s upgrade was part of the New South Wales Government’s investment in modern, future-ready learning environments to support growing student communities.
Construction was carefully staged within a live school environment to minimise disruption and ensure safety. Demolition, building works, and refurbishments were sequenced around the daily operation of the school, maintaining uninterrupted learning and safe access throughout.
The upgrade involved the demolition of two outdated buildings and the construction of three new structures, including a 2-storey learning block with 16 classrooms. This replaced eight temporary demountables and increased the school’s capacity to nearly 1,000 students.
A new two-storey administration and library block was delivered alongside a new hall and canteen, while a central landscaped hub created stronger connections across the campus. Existing administration and library areas were refurbished into contemporary general learning spaces, and upgrades to wireless and service infrastructure supported seamless technology integration.
Externally, the project added a new covered outdoor learning area (COLA), sports courts, playgrounds, and bike storage facilities, providing students access to functional and engaging outdoor spaces.
Throughout delivery, our team applied their expertise in managing complex school projects, balancing program, safety, and quality outcomes within an active campus environment. The 800m2 upgrade provides Harrington Park Public School with a sustainable, state-of-the-art facility that will support students and staff for years to come.
