HammondGrove Miranda was developed to provide older Australians with a welcoming and supportive environment that promotes dignity, independence and connection. Delivered for Client HammondCare, the 92-bed aged care home reflects a person-centred approach to care, combining high-quality accommodation with thoughtfully designed living environments that encourage meaningful daily experiences and a strong sense of community.

The project required the delivery of a highly detailed residential care home with premium finishes across both internal and external spaces. Careful planning, coordination and quality management were essential to achieving the architectural vision while maintaining programme and construction certainty. Collaboration between the project team, consultants and stakeholders ensured complex design elements, specialist finishes and integrated building systems were delivered seamlessly, creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Resident wellbeing was central to the design and planned around HammondCare’s recognised household model of care. Rather than traditional institutional accommodation, residents live within smaller household communities that foster familiarity, social connection and independence. Shared kitchens, dining areas and living spaces create a genuine residential atmosphere, while a range of communal amenities, including a chapel, hairdressing salon, lounges and landscaped courtyards, support recreation, interaction and quiet reflection.
