This refurbishment delivered an upgraded workplace for Etihad Airways’ Australian head office, supporting a global aviation leader known for its ambition, innovation and guest‑centred service. The intent was to create a refreshed, functional environment that aligns with Etihad’s commitment to exceptional experiences and its rapidly expanding presence across international markets.
Working within a fully operational office presented significant logistical challenges. To maintain business continuity and ensure staff safety, all construction activities were completed exclusively on weekends. This approach minimised disruption while allowing the team to manage noise, access constraints and the careful sequencing required when modifying services, intercommunications and security systems in a live environment.
The design focused on enhancing day‑to‑day functionality while respecting Etihad’s cultural values. Works included the installation of new workstations and dedicated offices, the conversion of an existing storeroom into a prayer room, and the integration of sliding doors and increased security. Relocated intercoms, closed-circuit television (CCTV) and associated services ensured the space remained efficient, private and operationally aligned with Etihad’s global standards.
The completed refurbishment provides Etihad’s diverse, multinational team with a more efficient, comfortable and culturally supportive workplace, strengthening their ability to serve guests across the airline’s global network.
