BaptistCare’s Glendale Lodge officially opened in June 2025, delivering a new benchmark in aged care through the organisation’s “home-style” care model. Designed to foster intimacy, comfort, and connection, the project reflects BaptistCare’s commitment to creating warm, people-centred communities.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the Blue Mountains, the project was delivered with sensitivity to the peaceful character of its surroundings. Working closely with BaptistCare and Calderflower Architects, Glendale Lodge was developed around a household model that accommodates 96 residents in a homelike setting.

The design introduced domestic kitchens, shared living spaces, an in-house chef, and bookable family rooms, providing both comfort and privacy for residents and their families. Glendale Lodge also includes a café with indoor and outdoor dining, a chapel, gymnasium and physiotherapy rooms, a hair salon, landscaped gardens, and a children’s playground to encourage intergenerational connection.
