The redevelopment of Auburn North Public School has created a vibrant, inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s vision to be ‘Australia’s most outstanding future-focused learning community’. Located in Sydney’s western suburbs, the upgrade supports a diverse student population providing modern, flexible learning spaces that encourage collaboration, creativity, and connection.
Delivering construction within a live school environment required careful planning and collaboration. Working closely with the school leadership, our team implemented detailed staging to ensure safety and minimise disruption to staff, students, and families. Extensive existing service relocations Temporary offices, separate access points, and ongoing communication allowed teaching and learning to continue uninterrupted throughout the build.
The new learning centre was designed by Conrad Gargett to support contemporary teaching models. Featuring 10 new classrooms, practical activity areas, and shared learning zones clustered around a large, covered terrace, the design promotes interaction and adaptability.
Delivered alongside Rosehill Public School as part of a combined contract, both projects were designed with similar materials and construction methods to maximise efficiency and minimise cost. The façade features durable Vitrapanel fibre cement cladding with a Vitreflon fluoropolymer coating, chosen for its long-term durability, colour retention, and environmental performance.
The project scope also included the construction of new toilet facilities and the refurbishment of the existing administration building. The administration upgrade delivered a new reception, offices, sick bay, interview rooms, and staff amenities, complemented by new entry pathways, tiered seating, and landscaped garden areas to improve campus access and usability.
The upgraded facilities at Auburn North Public School provide students and teachers with a safe, inspiring, and future-focused environment that celebrates the school’s multicultural identity and commitment to excellence. By combining thoughtful design with a strong community partnership, the project supports a generation of learners to achieve their full potential, academically, socially, and creatively.
