BallyCara’s Amicus Apartments were delivered to enhance the lifestyle, independence and wellbeing of older Australians living on the Scarborough Peninsula. Designed to support the organisation’s “Village of Friends” philosophy, the development provides high-quality independent living accommodation within a connected and supportive community environment.

As BallyCara’s first independent living apartment development, the project required careful coordination as part of a broader site expansion. Works were delivered concurrently with the Wellness Centre development, with two sites operating simultaneously to achieve programme objectives while maintaining efficient site management and stakeholder engagement.

Now an award-winning development, the six-storey building features bold colour blocking, recessed and protruding façade elements and a distinctive patterned central section that creates visual interest and vertical emphasis. High-quality cladding materials, glass balustrades and white sun-shading elements contribute to its contemporary coastal aesthetic.
