Grindley were engaged to undertake remediation works to replace over 3,000m2 of non-compliant existing Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) on the external facades of the entire business park at 24-32 Lexington Drive Bella Vista, being two office towers and forty lower rise office tenancies.
The cladding was replaced to receive matching 3mm solid aluminium cassette panels. Along with framing modifications, all existing sarking and insulation was upgraded to non-combustible type as per the National Construction Code.
The project involved delicate coordination around live tenancies and public carparking operating seven days a week. Detailed traffic control measures and suspended podium slab weight restrictions have resulted in careful planning and programming with each individual tenancy, to minimise the impact on the operating facility, especially around major activities such as crane movements.
